Podium finish for the Junior team at the FIM Moto Junior season finale in Misano

The Junior team ends the 2026 season on a high with Ethan Sparks’ first podium in the Moto4 European Cup, while Ryan Frost and Johnny Garness fight for points in Moto3 Junior.

The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli hosted the final round of the 2026 season. Unfortunately, Qabil Irfan (Moto4) and Evan Belford (Moto3) were unable to recover from their respective injuries in time to compete in the final round. The team therefore lined up with Ethan Sparks in Moto4 and Johnny Garness alongside newly crowned British Talent Cup champion Ryan Frost in Moto3. It was also Frost’s first time riding a Moto3 bike.

Sparks claims his first podium

The Moto4 European Cup race brought a great result for the team. After showing strong pace throughout the weekend, Sparks qualified directly for Q2 and started the race from 15th on the grid.

The #62 put in an impressive performance, gaining 13 places to finish second. He fought hard in a large group battling for the podium and made his move in the closing stages to come out on top of the group and secure second place. Pritelli took the win after leading the race largely unchallenged.

The result marked Sparks’ first podium in his first full season in the category. It also added to Irfan’s podium at Jerez, giving the team two podium finishes in the 2026 season.

Just outside the points

In Moto3 Junior, Johnny Garness and Ryan Frost faced two races with different challenges.

For Race 1, penalties for severals riders moved both team-mates up the grid, with Garness starting 13th and Frost 15th. Both riders fought in the group battling for the points, but neither managed to break into the top 15. Frost finished 16th, with Garness just behind in 17th.

Race 2 proved more difficult, with both riders starting further back. Garness lined up 17th, while Frost started 25th, making it harder to reach the group fighting for the points. Despite their efforts, Garness finished 16th and Frost 19th.

The Junior team brings its 2026 season to a close with a first European Cup podium for Sparks and valuable experience gained throughout the year. The team will now turn its attention to preparations for the 2027 season.
