Eddie O’Shea and GRYD Racing to continue together in 2027

Eddie O’Shea will remain with GRYD Racing for the 2027 Moto3 World Championship, with the young Brit set to line up for another season with the team.

Special British GP livery

At just 19 years of age, O’Shea remains one of the promising young British riders on the Moto3 grid, and his continued progression forms an important part of GRYD Racing’s long-term project.

The team is delighted to continue with O’Shea for the 2027 Moto3 World Championship season, continuing a journey that began within the team’s junior structure before Eddie stepped up to the World Championship structure at the Indonesian Grand Prix in 2024. Since then, we have continued to grow together, building on the progress made each season and taking important steps forward.

British roots. Global ambition.

With the United Kingdom hosting just one MotoGP World Championship round each season, Silverstone is a unique moment for us. As the only British team on the World Championship grid, we are proud to represent our country on the global stage, and this weekend we will do so with a special livery that puts our British identity firmly at the heart of our project.

Eddie O'Shea will race in a retro-inspired design drawing on the golden era of British motorcycle racing, with the Union Flag playing a central role across the bike and his leathers.

And his distinctive yellow helmet will complete the look, paying tribute to one of Britain's greatest motorsport icons, seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton.

A massive thank you to everyone at GRYD Racing. I´m absolutely over the moon to have this opportunity and genuinely proud to be part of such an amazing family. We´ve made great progress this year, and im excited to keep pushing so we can come back even stronger for the 2027 season.

A special thank you to Michael and David, along with my team and personal sponsors, for believing in me for another year. Your support means everything.

Super excited to finish the rest of this season on a high and already buzzing for what 2027 has in store for me and the team.
— Eddie O'Shea
We are really pleased to renew Eddie’s contract for the 2027 season. Eddie has shown promising progress over the course of this season, and this development gives us great confidence heading into the second half of the year into 2027.

Next season Will be the final year of the Moto3 World Championship as we currently know it, and we are determined to finish this chapter on a high.

With the team we have in place and the progress Eddie is making, I believe he has everything around him to take that final step and get us to where we know we can and should be.
